ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS South Woods Elementary School Classroom Expansion ITB2024-024 Sealed bids will be received by the St. Johns County School Board for the construction of South Woods Elementary School Classroom Expansion located in the south portion of St. Johns County, Florida. Work includes General, Site, Mechanical, Plumbing and Electrical Construction. All bids (to include an original and one copy) must be sealed and clearly marked on the outside “South Woods Elementary School Classroom Expansion, ITB2024-024”. Bids will be received in the office of the St. Johns County School District, Facilities and Operations Office, 3740 International Golf Parkway, Suite 200, (adjacent to Mill Creek Academy) St. Augustine, Florida 32092 until 1:00pm prevailing local time, Monday, August 26, 2024. Bids received after that time will not be accepted. The bids will then be opened publicly and read aloud. The successful bidder must be pre-qualified with St. Johns County School District before the award of any contract. A mandatory Pre-Bid Conference will be held on Tuesday, July 30, 2024, at 1:00 PM at South Woods Elementary School, 4750 State Road 206 West, Elkton, FL 32033. This will be the only site visit for this project. All notices relative to this bid, including but not limited to initial release, addenda, letters of intent and awards will be posted on DemandStar, www.demandstar.com Full sets of drawings and specifications may be obtained from LDI Reproprinting Centers at http://www.ldiline.com Printed copies are available for a non-refundable fee of $595 per set, or can be downloaded from the website for $250 per set. Shipping will be at the bidder’s expense. All plan holders must maintain registered plan holder status through LDI Reproprinting Centers. Only registered plan holders will receive addenda or other official notifications by email. All questions concerning the project shall be submitted, in writing, to the Design Consultant, Schenkel & Shultz, Inc. This office is the only point where information will be disseminated. All questions must be received by 5:00pm on Monday, August 12, 2024. Final Addendum will be issued Monday, August 19, 2024. No bid may be withdrawn for a period of forty-five days after the opening thereof. The successful bidder will be required to furnish and record in the official records of the county in which the project is located a 100% Performance Bond and a 100% Labor and Material Payment Bond in the form identified herein. The St. Johns County School Board reserves the right to reject any and all bids, waive informalities and minor irregularities in bidding and to accept bids which are considered to be in the best interest of the System. Note: Certain rights are granted to you under Florida Law, and we are required by that law to notify you that if you are going to file a protest that, "Failure to file a protest within the time prescribed in section 120.57(3), Florida Statutes, or failure to post the bond or other security required by law within the time allowed for filing a bond shall constitute a waiver of proceedings under chapter 120, Florida Statutes." Pursuant to section 287.137(2)(a), Florida Statutes, a person or an affiliate who has been placed on the antitrust violator vendor list following a conviction or being held civilly liable for an antitrust violation may not submit a bid, proposal, or reply for any new contract to provide any goods or services to a public entity; may not submit a bid, proposal, or reply for a new contract with a public entity for the construction or repair of a public building or public work; may not submit a bid, proposal, or reply on new leases of real property to a public entity; may not be awarded or perform work as a contractor, supplier, subcontractor, or consultant under a new contract with a public entity; and may not transact new business with a public entity.
