ATTN ELECTRICAL SUBS:
Below is feedback from the architect regarding the site's electrical. Please make sure this is included in your quote. We bid to the owner tomorrow, so please send us any updates by EOD today or early tomorrow. Thank you!
We don't show a site electrical plan, but there are notes about providing electrical to the signs.
Sheet GN-1.7 specifies electrical work & products for signage.
Sheet E-2.0 mentions required junction boxes for exterior signage and for GC to coordinate with sign vendor prior to installation.
Sheet E-3.0 describes Menu Board wiring as well as Conduit Notes.
Sheet E-4.0 shows Panel M with space for Signage, Menu Board, & Canopy. And the Lighting Control Panel shows space for exterior signs
ADDENDUM - RESPONSES TO RFIs (Important for Storefront, Painting and Canopy Subs to Review)
The outdoor sculpture is shown on TRP-2/9. Who will provide and install this?
The landlord would be responsible for this item.Who is to provide the wall mural shown on A-5.0?
The landlord would be responsible for this item. The storefront is now 11' 0" in height; this will likely be a curtain wall system and more expensive. I wanted to clarify that this is indeed a curtain wall system.
We should still be able to use a storefront system. YKK has a couple of storefront systems that can span this height, but we will need to adjust the layout of the mullions. See the images below for a couple of options. I'm fine with reducing the vertical mullions to a smaller spacing to make this work at a more affordable costOn S-2, the metal canopy is shown by others. Are you supplying and installing this now? Should we remove this cost from our proposal?
No, this item should still be in the scope of the GC. The structural engineer was trying to relay that the canopies and posts are not designed by him, but will be designed by the metal canopy sub. Also see notes on the cover sheet regarding 'Deferred Submittals'. The canopies will need to be designed and stamped by the sub's engineers who are doing that work and will need to be submitted for review.
